It is one thing to call yourself a Christian, but it is totally another question when you are pressed into a corner. The corner might be a test, or it might be a situation or even a temptation, but it is how you “walk the walk” when the situation arises, that determines the level of your Christian Morals.

At some point in everyone’s life there will come a time when you need to compromise, sometimes it is done willingly, other times you become a “victim of circumstance” and then there are those when it is an actual choice that you make, even though you are aware of the consequences and the situation.

The verse : John 14:15 always comes to mind “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” – or as I like to put it WWJD – (What would Jesus Do?)

I am a self-employed Web Designer and, like any business, some months are better than others and then some months are really quiet and you start to wonder how you are going to cope financially. It is in those very quiet periods that the devil sees your weakness, the break and doubt in your faith when he starts throwing in opportunities that should not even be considered.

I have a strict policy that I will not create or design a website that is against my Christian Morals, examples being Sex Related Sites or Websites related to other religions etc … and it is just when you seem to need the money the most when these “opportunities” present themselves. In these times I am reminded of James 4:17 “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”

How do you handle the day to day temptations that the dark one throws in your path? Do you have situations in your employment where you are required to “Turn a blind eye”? Do you associate with people who openly to not apply Godly principles to their lives, maybe they blaspheme constantly or use foul language and you just “accept” it for fear of losing your ring of friendship?

Live a Godly life, live your life as if Jesus Himself is standing right next to you in all these situations and then ask yourself again “How should I handle it” because the fact of the matter is, He is right there, He is by your side, He is watching and Listening and knows your every thought even before you think it.
