I saw a facebook post recently that was not Christian related, but it got me thinking :

It’s not the load that breaks you….it’s the way that you carry it…..

The first verse that came to mind was an old favorite :

Matthew 11:28 NIV – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” But the AKJV says it right – “Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Do you sometimes feel like a Donkey? Packed so heavy with “stuff” that it feels like you are going to break at any moment? How much more can you take, how much more can be loaded onto your back?

Now take the same load, double it and place it in a cart, by the laws of physics your effort will be halved and you will not be under so much strain, that is until you reach an uphill ….

I remember a wise old man once said to me, you need to consider your problems to be like bricks in a backpack, each one is heavy but is wrapped in paper and on that paper is a description of your burden… we can continue to pack things into that backpack and make it almost unbearable to carry, or we can give the brick to God and keep the paper, learning a lesson from the memory on the paper but allowing God to deal with the heavy load.

You have a Friend who is willing to help, why do you not let Him, you gave 3 choices, you can Give In – Give Up or GIVE IT TO GOD !
