I look back at the year that has just passed, it was rough, but it was a turning point in my life. So much happened where God manifested Himself and showed His mighty presence.
We often focus on negative events, and when you ask someone to recall their year, I guarantee you that they will list all the bad things that happened to them because that is what we tend to remember, that is was sticks in our minds.
What we need to do is count our blessings, for they are abundant, we just put them aside when we feel sorry for ourselves.
Psalm 118:1-18 ESV – “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Out of my distress, I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. …”
Let us give thanks as we enter the New Year and know that God will never leave us nor forsake us if we put our trust in Him
Personally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2017, may God richly bless you and your family.
