THEREFORE DO NOT BE ANXIOUS, SAYING, ‘WHAT SHALL WE EAT?’ OR ‘WHAT SHALL WE DRINK?’ OR ‘WHAT SHALL WE WEAR?’
Life brings an array of stressors from family, work, finances, health, etc. It’s not difficult to find ourselves anxious and worried about how we are going to make it. It doesn’t help when there is global upheaval in leadership, stock markets, and politics. How do we stop stressing and start trusting in this day and age?
#1) Start trusting because God is in control. (1 Corinthians 15:27)
In spite of everything going on around us, God has never lost control.
#2) Start trusting because God keeps His promises. (Joshua 21:45)
God is not like man, He never lies and every promise in His word is good.
#3) Start trusting because we belong to Him. (Romans 8:9-10)
We aren’t abandoned by our Father—He will take care of His children.
#4) Start trusting because we are sealed by His Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30)
The Holy Spirit sets courage in our hearts to confirm that God is with us.
#5) Start trusting because He will work everything for our good. (Romans 8:28)
Regardless of a good or bad situation, God has the ability to turn everything for our good.
#6) Start trusting because He is never caught off guard. (Psalm 62:11)
God knows the beginning and the end of everything in our lives.
#7) Start trusting because Satan is defeated. (Revelation 12:8)
The devil was defeated at Calvary and his power/abilities are limited.
#8) Start trusting because there is nothing impossible with God. (Luke 1:37)
Even if we feel things are impossible, God always has an answer and a way to work it out.
#9) Start trusting because our hope is not in this world. (1 Peter 1:21)
Our time in this world is limited; however, our future is eternal and secure in Christ.
#10) Start trusting because we can do all things through Christ. (Philippians 4:13)
Our strength to find contentment in the midst of hardship is possible because of Christ.
I want to stop stressing and start trusting You every day even though it’s hard at times. I need You to help me believe. In Jesus’ name, amen.
